VESA Project Management / Consultancy / Commissioned Work
VESA staff have considerable experience in managing educational projects covering a wide range of topics and themes. This capacity and expertise can be accessed through specific commissioned work.
In addition, advice, support and INSET are also available from the VESA Team on a consultancy basis to support our Agency Services, Development Projects and Initiatives.
Individual schools / colleges, small groups of institutions and/or collaborative partnerships can purchase bespoke support and/or INSET from VESA.
Support packages can be tailored to meet specified requirements and individual needs e.g.:
- facilitation of working groups
- project management focussed on aspects of curriculum development or provision
- design and delivery of bespoke CPD programmes - identifying needs, sourcing trainers and, where appropriate, delivering CPD.
Prices will be individually negotiated to reflect:
a) the nature of the service required
b) the level at which the purchasing institution(s) are buying main VESA services
Other Events / Activities responding to EIP &/or TFL requests
Focussed events to respond to requests from the EIP Senior Leaders’ Group and the TFL Core Implementation Group, as required.
Curriculum Support & Development
VESA’s Curriculum Support and Development activity will comprise focussed CPD sessions. It is intended that our support offer will reflect the national and local drivers for curriculum change including themes such as, for example, new Accountability measures, new generation qualifications etc.
This service offer will primarily, though not exclusively, focus on vocational education and will be delivered as appropriate, on a half day, day and/or twilight basis. Where demand is sufficient, these sessions can be tailored to meet the needs of groups of centres and/or partnerships.
Listed below are some examples of the types of activity that would be offered:
a) Planning for a Vocational Curriculum
b) BTEC Next Generation Quality Assurance
c) BTEC Subject Network Meetings
d) New to BTEC Next Generation
e) Internal Verification of Assessment Activities
f) Introduction to GCSEs
