Progress File and Individual Learning PlansAbout progress FileProgress File is a set of interactive materials designed to help young people and adults manage their own learning and career development. It does this by supporting individuals in reviewing and planning their development, and recording their achievements.Nationally provided materials are available for use and focus on Key Stages 3, 5 and Post-16. There are also SEN and primary/ secondary transition materials available. VESA has been supporting schools, colleges and other partners with the implementation of Progress File for many years and helped to manage the original Leicestershire project within the national demonstration project. There are now well established Key Stage Consortia that meet termly to share practice and support the implementation and embedding of Progress File in schools and colleges. More recently, a local pilot project funded by the Government Office for the East Midlands has helped us to develop a model for the use of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) in conjunction with Progress File. There are now a number of schools and colleges in the City and County that are using ILPs with students across the key stages.
