Personal Development Curriculum

LPDP - formerly WrAP

LPDP is the Leicestershire Personal Development Programme. It is the local programme used to deliver an approved qualification formally accredited by the National Open College Network (NOCN).
The qualification is called the NOCN Award for Careers Education and Working Life.Nationally, the qualification is available at two levels:

Foundation Level - Level 1 - GCSE Grades D-G

Intermediate Level - Level - GCSE Grades A*-C

The qualification consist of 6 units - three compulsory and three optional:

The Changing World of Work

Work-related Aspects of Citizenship

Careers Education and Management

OPTIONAL UNITS :

Work-based Placement

I.T. in a Vocational Context

Financial Literacy and Money Management

In order to qualify for the qualification, learners need to complete the three compulsory units, plus any TWO optional units PLUS an external assessment. Successful completion of the qualification contributes to the school's league tables as follows:
