Key Stage 4 Deputies & Senior Managers

About the Network

This established support network is open to Deputies and Senior Managers from city and county schools. Three network sessions are planned for this year.

VESA will organise and facilitate 3 half day events (once per term), guided by a small steering group of VPs/Deputies from County and City schools & 14-19 Advisers from the two LEAs. The network complements other groupings such as those concentrated in the new Zones and Area partnerships, providing opportunities for colleagues from across the city/county to work together.

Each of these events will provide an opportunity for senior colleagues to:

• receive updates and information on key curriculum issues
• exchange and discuss a range of good practice "Case Studies"
• explore and develop strategies to aid implementation
• liaise periodically with those responsible for Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage "5" as required

Topics and themes for each session are identified by members of the network. Recent sessions have focused on Assessment for Learning, Timetabling, Collaboration and Work Related Learning.

Participation in the network is free to VESA/Cluster subscribers with a small charge being made for lunch, for those requiring it.
