Future Pathways
Framework Requirements
. THE FRAMEWORK
TIME REQUIREMENTS
As a guideline, Future Pathways is built around approximately 20% of curriculum time in Year 10, which should include ½ day per week for an "off-site placement" to be undertaken either in F.E. and/or with a Training Provider or an Employer. (Currently most students take 3 x 9 week x 1½ hour taster courses in an F.E college).
This 20% may increase up to approximately 40% in Year 11, offering additional scope for focused activity building on the broad "tasting" that takes place in Year 10. (Again, most students spend one day a week with a training provider, FE college or employer)
