Future Pathways
CERTIFICATION
Certification is awarded at 3 levels: gold, silver and bronze. The components that make up the certificate are:
Attendance ( both at school and on taster/training courses)
Communication Skills (focus on discussion work)
Improving Own Learning
Team Skills
Career Planning
Interim certification is available for all component parts of the main certificate to support the recognition of short-term goals and achievement.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In order to offer a "Future Pathways" programme, schools will need to:
agree to take part in moderation & quality assurance procedures
become members of a "Future Pathways" Consortium (approx. 4 x 1.5hr meetings a year)
provide appropriate facilities & resources to support the provision
identify a 'focus tutor' for the target group with appropriate skills/experience
create a time-tabled slot on one afternoon per week for Year 10 off-site experiences & collaborative links, and a day for Year 11 placements
