The learning frameworks have been designed in an A3 format and all follow the basic structure.

- post-16 and pre -16 versions

- A front page showing several different ways in which a student can learn from their placement along with the back page comprising of a set of assignments/questions.

- The Inside pages depict an illustrative guide showing a typical vocational work placement with 3 concentric circles showing Key Skills, Work Skills and Work Tasks aiming to help students and teachers visualise the learning opportunities.
