Work Experience for Leicester and Leicestershire

ESF Pre 16 Pathways to Vocational Achievement Project.

The ESF Pre 16 pathways to Vocational Achievement Project seeks to provide bespoke programmes for young people who maybe facing barriers to learning through a mainstream programme of education in years 10 and 11.  The programme seeks to support learning through the provision of extended work experience placements, vocational learning and work related enrichment opportunities.
Extended work experience opportunities are realised through additional block placements for students or allows them to be out of school for 1 or 2 days per week over a period of time.  This kind of programme provides an alternative route for students to still achieve and employers have expressed that they benefit from having students on extended placements as it gives them a chance to really get to know the students and give them a fuller insight into their industry.
The investment of teachers, personal advisers and employers contributes to positive outcomes for young people encouraging them to enter into employment, further education or apprenticeships as the next step after leaving school.  If you would like to be a part of this process do not hesitate to contact us:
